What does an architect do?

In most renovation or new home projects, an architect can be of considerable help.

An architect can advise on design and help create individual  spaces to reflect your own needs and prepare documents for approvals and for the builder to use to get prices.  Considered design can save on unnecessary building costs.

The word ‘architect’ is protected and can only be used by someone who has illustrated professional competency and is registered to practice.

Typically, an architect’s work is in these broad areas:

Generally we prefer to prepare detailed documents so that the elements of your home are represented in the drawings and form the tool the builder can use to get appropriate pricing
